Two little sweethearts – Jess and Kieron
posted in Uncategorized, Wedding by themasterofceremony
Often a wedding request will come by way of a recommendation from someone…and that’s always nice, they say nice things about you, refer you to friends and say, he’s a good guy… that’s what they say about ‘other’ celebrants, not me! Hahaha
I went to school in Sydney’s west, St Agnes in Rooty Hill, good school, shocking school uniform – green shirts and dark green tie, Oh Dear Lord! Looking back at some of the pictures, our uniforms were ‘the most horrid’ I’ve ever seen! Made some great friends at that school, one of them was Kelly Manning, great girl. Thanks to the magical world of Facey, I recently caught up with her for a school union, then a few years pass and she tags me in a post saying ‘I went to school with a guy who is now a celebrant, great bloke, really funny, you should get him!’. I thought, great bloke, really funny, who on earth is she talking about???
I got an email from Jessica and Kieron, so went to meet them and they booked me immediately, what a great young couple! Oh and thanks for the recommendation Kelly! If I didn’t mention her, she’d go crook at me for sure!
The love for not only one another was clear to see, but the love they have for their daughter Aaliyah is just beautiful, they have such devotion for one another, they will last a lifetime! Like many couples they have a great love story, meeting through work and falling in love! Ya gotta love a 6 x 6 office cubical right….Kieron now working hard 5 days a week to support his young family, he has a great work ethic and will succeed at whatever he puts his mind too, he’s that sort of bloke!
It’s funny how all couples will apologise when you first meet them, sorry the baby just woke up, or sorry we haven’t done this or that, Tanya and I do the same thing, I’m not sure why we do it, a natural human reaction, we know everything about our home is fine, but we still do it – Jess did just that! Such pride in the place they call home is wonderful in a young couple, or perhaps a nervous reaction and now this wedding caper was getting ‘very real’!
We got their day sorted! North Gong Beach opposite the funkiest new bar in The Illawarra ‘Pepe’s on The Beach’, seriously check that joint out – it’s a great spot, right opposite the beach and they’ve done a great job of the inside…and out, it’s below the place they had their reception – Novotel North Wollongong, on ‘The Deck’, truly a beautiful place to enjoy the celebration of love!
During the ceremony, they were both so nervous, forgetting a few things we discussed, but they laughed it off without anyone else knowing, that’s the great thing about having an easy, relaxed, chilled ceremony, if something goes south – oh well, it’ll be sweet!
Katie Knight stepped up with a beautiful reading of “The One”
When the one whose hand you’re holding
Is the one who holds your heart
When the one whose eyes you gaze into
Gives your hopes and dreams their start,
When the one you think of first and last
Is the one who holds you tight,
And the things you plan together
Make the whole world seem just right,
When the one whom you believe in
puts their faith and trust in you,
You’ve found the one and only love
You’ll share your whole life through.
These two sweethearts enjoyed their night until the wee small hours until neither could possibly dance anymore!
Congratulations Mr and Mrs Manning!
